I'm convinced MLB managers have at various times planned an early dinner and made sure to say the magic words when arguing the very first possible call in question.
That becomes a little more difficult in the NBA, particularly if you're a player. The reason I bring this up is because you've got to wonder what Kobe Bryant had in mind last night, getting his first ever ejection with the Lakers up 30 points midway through the 3rd quarter.
Was he really that interested to see who won best picture (No Country For Old Men = Phoenix Suns) and best supporting actor (Pau Gasol)?

It's not like he was going to play the 4th quarter anyway. Now that they're easily the best team in the West, he should get ejected more often and rest that pinky.
