Now That Was Entertaining
It doesn't really matter who you are, or what sports you like, the finish to the Coke Zero 400 on Saturday night at Daytona was absolutely ridiculous. It included everything you'd want in a sporting event: an ultra-tight finish that had to go to the booth, epic crashes, and the winner getting hit by a chorus of boos by a fan base that loathes him all while he mocked them by waving the checkered flag at them.
But more to the point, Kyle Busch, who's been driving like hell on wheels all season, won the action packed race. It didn't end quite how you'd want it to, but it was still pretty spectacular. Busch claimed the victory by holding off Carl Edwards in turn one on the white flag lap of a green-white-checkered finish. The race ended in turn one thanks to a big wreck behind the leaders involving Michael Waltrip and a host of others, with Busch edging Edwards by a nose on video replays.
My favorite part was after claiming victory, Busch really riled up the (always) pro-Earnhardt Jr. crowd by taking a bow in front of them and waving the checkered flag to boot.
I gotta be honest. Busch pushes the envelope every damn race, and I love it. Whether you hate him or love him, you have to admit, the man brings it every race.
