Best play of the weekend. Les Miles is far from making my list of favorite coaches, but you have to love his amusement at pulling a Spurrier on Steve Spurrier himself.

The Ol' Ball Coach's face after this fake FG touchdown run is priceless. His look might be explained by the fact that it actually IS in the Steve Spurrier playbook.

"We worked on it every day in practice last year," Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier said. "(Holder) Ike Crofoot was very good at flipping it over like that. So we've seen it. But we just haven't seen it this year."

isn't the holder technically down for college because the knee is on the ground when he flips it back?

In the SEC, the holder actually kneels down on a Bible so as to not be officially called down, because as everyone knows you can never be down by contact when touching the Word of God.

In other conferences, Bible kneeling is frowned upon, so normally an empty packet of Ramen noodles is appropriate, although rules dictate the package does not need to be empty. But if it's full, it just makes that crinkling noise which can distract the kicker.

Nice otherwise...

Seeing as how countless field goals are kicking every weekend when the holder has his knee down I'm guessing there's a rule regarding that position. Interesting thought though, I'll look it up tonight.

Being that it wasn't really a field goal "attempt", have no idea if the rule is for position or situation.
