Lou Holtz On Sean Hannity Talking About Global Warming
Lou Holtz: Global Warming Expert
During the time period between the Super Bowl and March Madness, things tend to get a little slow, which is exactly why Lou Holtz would wind up on FOX News talking about global warming with Sean Hannity. Because if anyone knows anything about global warming, it's a blowhard TV show host and a former Notre Dame football coach.

Forget the fact that everyone who has an ounce of credibility in the scientific community is fully convinced that global warming is indeed happening, why is Lou Holtz on FOX News talking about anything? I can't even understand him when he's on ESPN. Also unexplained, how Stephen A. Smith once wound up on CNN defending atheists (although he's clearly the sanest of the 3 people debating).

And people wonder why no one respects 24-hour news stations. When you're trotting out guest speakers such as Lou Holtz and Stephen A. Smith, it's kind of hard to take anything seriously anymore.

Lou Holtz proves there's no global warming [

Lou Holtz is obviously an expert in all things climate-related. Because every time he speaks, it rains.

Wow I did not think it was possible but I agree with Steven A for once.

All i have to say is if Al Gore is an "EXPERT" on global warming, why can't Lou Holtz be one. What's the freaking' difference? Everyone's slamming Lou, you hypocrites seem to forget the other "EXPERT" blowhards who constantly chime in about crap they know nothing about. Either shut up and leave Lou alone or include all the other morons who never know what they're talking about.

Lou needs to stick with predicting College Football games......Oh, wait he predicted Ohio State to win the National Championship last year....Nevermind...

The funny thing about SAS's appearance on CNN was that he made more sense there than when he is on ESPN. QUITE FRANKLY, I FIND THAT ASTONISHING.

Lou is at least as qualified as any of the other morons who chime in on the subject of global warming, so you might wanna include them in your wrath next time, dear author.

Other than maybe, you know, real scientists who actually spend their whole careers studying this.  They might, but just by a little bit, be more qualified.

Actually, I'll cut Lou a little slack here: If global warming is caused by humans, why is there global warming happening on Mars right now too according to NASA?  You don't have to be a climatologist or AlGore  or a former SEC football coach or even a Martian to wonder about that...

Well, while something tells me that Al Gore has spent a little more time researching global warming than Lou Holtz, you seem to be forgetting here that regardless of who the blowhard is, it's universally agreed upon in the credible scientific community that global warming is happening.

You anti-global warming people are hilarious, you're like the people who burned scientists at the stake because they had the crazy notion that the earth revolves around the sun.

Al Gore is an expert on Global Warming because he had dedicated his life to the cause. I would say someone that has 3 books, a documentary, and a Nobel Prize for the cause of Global Warming would be considered an expert.  Lou Holtz is about as much of an environmental expert as Al Gore is at coaching college football. So I guess, in short, you need to shut up.

If by NASA you mean one guy there who no one agrees with. I do think that's important to point out that NASA does not agree with him, even though he works there.

Well he's been alive since the first Ice Age so he must know more about it than everyone else.

So the whole scientific community is moronic?

If this doesn't garner ridiculous amounts of thumbs ups (?), then I've lost all faith in humanity.

He shows up on CNN occasionally to talk about, well, almost anything you can imagine. I don't watch CNN, but still, it must be strange to be sitting around and suddenly there's Stephen A, talking about the election results in Mississippi.

Planets get hotter and colder from time to time and it happens naturally for a number of reasons.  Still these episodes of climate change take place slowly over long periods of time like hundreds, thousands and even millions of years that's because it's a natural process and all natural processes take time.  It's just like people who die of natural causes die slowly usually at an advanced age where their bodies and organs slowly stop functioning until they finally die.  If a big asteroid hits the earth it would probably end almost all life on earth rather quickly just like if someone shoots another person in the heart that person will die rather quickly. Saying that humans have no part to play on global warming is like shooting someone in the heart and saying that he died of natural causes because his heart stopped beating.

He's a pretty intelligent fellow, he just does a Rasho Nesterovic-like way of conveying that knowledge.

My comments had nothing to do with whether i believe in global warming or not. My comments were strictly about the qualifications of the "Celebrities" who make the comments. Al Gore is no more of a scientist than Lou Holtz. They both, more than likely, get their info from one side of the argument. Leave the scientific crap to the scientist and the Al Gores' and Lou Holtzs' can keep their opinions to themselves. My other point is slam everyone who's NOT qualified, not just a couple of people just because you don't like them.

WRONG!  Turn down the Sheryl Crow and face your 8 x10 glossy pic of actor/activist Ed Begley Jr to the wall, because It is actually pictures and readings from the Mars Global Surveyor satellite and Odyssey missions documenting the Martian climate change and taking pictures of ice turning to water on the Martian surface (hence we now know water is there) and not the maverick NASA scientist you refer to.  NASA itself has no official explanation for Mars warming.  According to National Geographic magazine in 2007, the problem is that the sun enters maximums and minimums cyclically and heats up the planets. No one doubts things are warming up, the thing is we ain't sure man has anything to do with it.  By the way, Jupiter is warming too according to satellites.  So I'm guessing you trust your researchers who misplaced an artic ice sheet the size of California and had to sheepishly withdraw their artic ice emergency global warming claims last week?

When it comes to talking entertainingly about something he knows nothing about, Lou Holtz will never be in John Madden's league.

Al Gore hasn't "researched" anything, except a way to make himself relevant to the media. Pretty easy to predict something noone will be alive to see or to know if you were right or wrong...
Go ahead and pq me author. You Global Warmers are all ways against any other point of view.

Considering there are no peer-reviewed articles in science journals refuting man made global warming, is there really any other position on global warming?  Global Warming isn't really debatable.  What to do about it is.

I honestly have no opinion on this one way or another, but can scientists really determine that; 1) there's actually global warming, and it's not just a cyclical weather pattern that's been going on for millions of years, and 2) it's irrefutably been determined that it's man-made?

I'm no expert, by any stretch, but that seems VERY hard to believe. At the same time, the people who comment on the snow outside and try to use that as evidence AGAINST global warming are also idiots.

But while it's obvious that one day of snow doesn't refute global warming, who's to say that a mere few generations of warming PROVE global warming theories? How do we know that his hasn't happened thousands of times in the past, before we had accurate means to track things like this?

Both sides are retarded if they think they really KNOW, one way or the other, in my opinion.

I'm not pretending to be an expert either.  However, I would imagine that over the past 30+ years that the non-Global Warming camp would've came up with some scientific information that would at least partially refute Global Warming.  That hasn't happened.  Science has been wrong before, but its very rare and they certainly know more than us common folk.

Quite an impressive thread...but unless it causes golf courses to turn to dust and the ice in hockey rinks to melt....I don't think this is really the place to discuss global warming

maybe we need to take it seriously.......everyone knows they are expert,i think it`s time for us to do something for our planet.....to prevent that GLOBAL WARMING!!!!
