I couldn't comfortably head off for the weekend without musing on Lou Holtz's latest pep talk.

Can Lou be the one to bring the Tigers down? His pep talks have only resulted in 1 win this season (South Florida). Maybe that's why he's made the curious choice to go with the #1 team in the country. Nice work, Lou. You have to put a few cupcakes on the schedule otherwise you're going to end up with the same record as your Irish.

Is this the Kiss of Death Valley?

0	I continue to enjoy these pep talks. I think it's awesome to see what a coach might say to the #1 team in the nation. It's easy to give the pep talk to the underdog but it's more interesting to see what you say to the heavily favored team. The only criticism I have of this particular talk is that he used the "growing or your dying" reference again.
