Bruce Pearl's Vols were able to overcome a lot of poor shooting nights by getting some easy transition buckets but Louisville didn't let that happen. They also didn't let Tennessee get many rebounds or allow Chris Lofton to get comfortable.
You need a post player if you're going to advance far in this tournament. Just ask Duke.
This may sound like an incredible stretch but last night was the first time I believed the Cardinals were capable of winning it all. To do that they'll of course need to beat North Carolina on Saturday, but they might match up as well as any other team left.
David Padgett can contain Hansbrough, he'll have to. Earl Clark is a physical freak that should have an advantage and Terrance Williams is a difficult match for any of the Tar Heels guard/forwards. Not that there's ever a bad Elite Eight matchup, but this is setting up as the best.
Jason, I'm so glad you finally see it too lol. Of course, it has taken this team a while to settle in together due to injuries and several other issues revolving around the sophomore class. I think it says alot, however, when David Padgett (who missed a good portion of the season) was unanimously voted first team all Big East. I remember Pitino saying very early on that this team was poor defensively but was winning games because of a powerful offense. It's a much different team now. I'm gonna shut up now cuz I feel a book coming on.
