Usually, when a player comes into your league from another country, you would welcome him with open arms, and let him know how great it's going to be, and how much he'll enjoy coming to a place with great competition and wonderful teammates. Apparently, things are so bad in the MLS that Kasey Keller simply wasn't able to do that.
"Yes, your talent is more than pretty much anyone else in the league... and you have to be a little bit patient, because you're not playing with Thierry Henry, you're not playing with Robert Pirès, you're not playing with Dennis Bergkamp, you're not playing with Tony Adams... you have to realize your supporting cast isn't quite gonna be what you've been used to at Arsenal"Wow, Kasey. Way to pump up your team and your league. Keller is the goalkeeper for the Seattle Sounders FC, an MLS expansion team. Like Ljungberg, Keller is coming over from the English Premier League to play in the MLS for the first time. Unlike Ljungberg, however, Keller is an American, who should theoretically be trying to sell the MLS a little more than he's obviously doing.
There's nothing like welcoming in a new guy, saying "I hope you have the patience to deal with your crappy teammates". Nicely done, Kasey. You are a true ambassador for the MLS.
