Most of you are aware of the Mariner Moose, but in case you're not, Red Sox Monster has the appropriate description:

... Mariner Moose, hear me out: You are a mascot. A circus clown. A court jester covered in faux fur, employed for the soul purpose of amusing baseball fans in between innngs, when there is nothing better to watch.
At least Coco was amused ... sort of:
