With the way the Seattle Mariners season has gone, you had to figure it was only a matter of time before we saw manager John McLaren absolutely lose it. So if you had June 4th pegged on your calendar for that, you win a free prize.
Seattle now has the worst record in the majors (yes, they're worse than the Reds or my Giants) despite having a $117 million payroll.
Anyhow, in case you choose not to watch the video because you're lame (or possibly deaf), here's the rant from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer:
"We're playing our (rear) off every day and have nothing to show for it," he said. "I'm tired of (expletive) losing, I'm tired of getting my (rear) beat and so are those guys. We have to change this (expletive) around and get after it, the only way we can do it. The fans are pissed off and the players are pissed off and that's the way it is. There's no (expletive) easy way out, we can't feel sorry for ourselves, we have to (expletive) buckle it up and get after it. I'm tired of (expletive) losing every night and we bust our (rear). It's got to be a total team (expletive) effort to turn this thing around, and that's it."I know exactly what Seattle needs to salvage their season. They need to trade for a washed up outfielder who never lived up to his true potential, and who gets injured when a stiff breeze rolls through the stadium - a move they've been rumored to be considering. I'm of course talking about Ken Griffey Jr.
That'll definitely get this team right back into contention.
