When I say 'we' on mean those of us willing to admit we thought Houston had lost their mind drafting Mario Williams #1 and now willing to throw a flag on ourselves.
The 2006 NFL Draft 1st Pick isn't just playing well lately, he's nearly dominating games. He has 9 sacks in his last 5 games, with another 3.5 coming last night. Williams is also the all-time sack leader for the Houston Texans. Not bad for a bust, huh?
I still laugh how all of the people at ESPN are saying how it was still a mistake and how not only Bush, but Vince Young were better picks. Fools.
I credit them for at least not overreacting, a bonus when you consider the source. It IS still too early, but as of 12/14/07 Mario Williams appears to best choice for that team.
Technically, they still made a mistake and should have drafted Elvis Dumerville who has more sacks and TFL than anyone.
