Melky Cabrera Will Salute Bleacher Creatures Roll Call, Even During Play to Centerfield

You remember Manny Ramirez' botched fly ball from over the weekend. Melky Cabrera might have topped him in the mindless fielding department, if only his name were something more relevant.
At the beginning of every Yankees game, the "Bleacher Creatures" chant the name of each starting Yankee and in turn, the players will salute them. It's a nice, albeit odd, tradition.
Now as you can imagine, the bleacher dwellers have often performed their roll call during an at-bat, so the involved player will wait until after the play to give the fans the proper greeting.
Not Melky Cabrera.
He will salute the bleachers at any cost, even during a routine grounder the centerfield. Obviously, it didn't turn out so well.
Just imagine the carnage if Alex Rodriguez or Manny Ramirez displayed such a gaffe? Derek Jeter, well he would never, ever do something so silly.
