For Melvin Mora, just hitting anything this season has been a challenge. A .340 hitting in 2004, Mora's .237 average is impressing no one this season, particularly those in attendance at Camden Yards.
The Orioles third basemen was able to impress everyone in Baltimore Friday night, including the opposing Tigers.
In the bottom of the sixth, Mora pulled an Armando Galarraga pitch way down the left field line, arcing just enough to come down on top, yes, on top of the foul pole.

In Memorial Stadium, there was a flag flown from the outer edge of the park labeled "HERE" to mark where Frank Robinson hit a ball completely out of the stadium. Maybe the Orioles should put a similar flag on the left field foul pole at Camden Yards, but with an arrow pointing down to the top of the pole?
