You Don't Mess With Da Jesus, Man

The Little League World Series is underway in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, one of the truly great events on the sports calendar in not just August, but the entire year.

Every year some 13-year-old star -- OK, sometimes they're 23 -- announces himself to the world with a game that is far more advanced than others his age.

Mexico's Jesus Sauceda appears to be that stud. No one messed with da Jesus, yesterday.

Perfect Game? Check.

Struck out every batter? Check. 12-for-12.

Perfect at the plate? Check. 3-for-3.

Grand Slam? Of course.

All is a days work against the Italian little leaguers who were no match for Sauceda and his teammates.

In related news, the Seattle Mariners have signed Jesus to a long-term deal... starting in September.

I would have liked to see if he could have taken it the entire 6 innings. He most likely would have tied the single-game LLWS strikeout record which is 18. There is another kid from the Lake Charles LA. team that may be better than Sauceda. His name is Kennon Fontenot. The guy struck out 15 and hit a triple on Saturday vs a really good hitting Washington team. Watch out for Fontenot and the Southwest in this year's LLWS as they may win it all.

Just wait to see what him and Liam are going to do.
