Michael Jordan Hall Of Fame Induction Speech
Michael Jordan's Hall Of Fame Induction Speech, In Which He Calls Out Anyone Who Ever Crossed Him
On Friday night, Michael Jordan was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, along with Vivian Stringer, Jerry Sloan, David Robinson and John Stockton. Here's the speech that Jordan gave at the induction ceremony.

Jordan was definitely one of the best players ever to step on the court, but I don't think anyone would confuse him with classy, after this one. Whether it was Byron Russell, Jerry Krause or even Dean Smith, Jordan had a snide comment for everyone who had ever done anything that ever bothered him. Stay classy, Mike.

I felt like he is still fighting some unseen fight...  Throwing people under the bus during his induction speech..  I was embarrassed listening to it at times..  Great player, maybe the best..  Douche of a man..

I liked his attack on Jerry Krause "Owners don't play the championship with the flu"

Kobe would have gotten creamed for that speech.  They have identicial personalities.  Thats why i love them both.

I like what you said about how they have "identical personalities".  I also am a huge fan of both. Being a native of So-Cal, I've become more a fan of "Triple Ocho" than "His Airness". I expected MJ to be a bit more gracious towards his peers during his speech, but I can understand how hard it must be for him not to be able to compete against the likes of King James and other NBA superstars. That "Fire" still burns inside MJ just like Kobe. Could you imagine if LeBron had some more of that "Chip on my Shoulder" mentality?

Looking at the young Kobe before Summer 2003, I can see him forgetting who helped him along the way during his career. Now though, I feel Kobe has sort of found himself and realized his feet, ankles, and knees can only take so much...As a fan, I'm hoping he to see the Kobe who has that MJ "Killer Instinct" only with that David Robinson modesty. The 2008 Summer Olympics and the 08-09 NBA season were great examples of this.

MY Favorite "Air Jordan's" were the Jordan V....In Black

Congrats to Jordan, It's hard to argue against him being the best.  He might not have been the best man, but he was an amazing player.  But it's a shame he overshadowed everyone else in his class.  John Stockton was arguablly the best pure point guard of all time.  David Robinson was a great player and an even greater man.   Jerry Sloan has coached his heart out since he took over the Jazz and Stringer is a fantastic leader as well.

His Airness is the greatest basketball player ever. I'm gonna have a drink tonight in his honor. Aw hell who am I kidding...I was gonna have a drink tonight whether MJ was going to the Hall or not.

My feeling is this Michael Jordan is arguably the most competitive and dominate player to ever step on the hard wood, if he has an air of arrogance then I feel he has earned it especially when so many people did not give him a second thought he sophomore year at North Carolina, Jimmy Black, and Charles Worthy were the toast of the town, no one knew about the shooting guard from Wilmington North Carolina, I am happy for him.

Am I the only one that remembers Jordan in "Space Jam"?

Yeah, but I'm a baseball player now!

Of all the people who deserved to get "called out" by MJ, Jerry Krause deserved it.  It's fair to say that some of his comments were tone-deaf, but I think most of it was all in fun.
