During last night's 4-3 loss to the Canucks, Calgary Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff made one of the best saves you'll see all year... I think. It might not have been a save, but it was credited as one, so that's all that matters.
Kiprusoff deflected a shot, and Kyle Wellwood picked up the rebound. Kiprusoff was on the gound on the opposite side of the goal as Wellwood took his shot, and lunged at the puck and barely made the save with his blocker.
It went to reply, and it was a bit hard to tell if it was a legit save or not, but either way, it was an amazing play by Kiprusoff.
It doesn't appear the entire dimension of the puck crossed the goal line, which is necessary for a goal. It's not like the NFL where the player just has to break the front of the goal line. That's the greatest save I've ever seen.
I was watching that game... And yes, my boy Kip did it again with that save! Too bad he let that last goal through at the end of the 3rd... I really was pushing for a win against the Canucks!
I've watched Kip in a game when he looked like an octopus!!!! He had shot after shot after shot fired at him, with amazing save after amazing save after amazing save! This is a great goalie right here!
