Mike Skinner And Johnny Sauter Crash During Camping World Truck Series Event
Mike Skinner Hits The Wall, And That's Where The Real Excitement Starts

Mike Skinner luckily escaped safely from this crash, but had some rather strong words for Johnny Sauter after their Camping World Truck Series event yesterday. He called Sauter an idiot for nudging him into the grass, which led to Skinner spinning out, and getting t-boned by TJ Bell, who really couldn't have done anything to stop it, as Skinner got spun right into him.

Was Sauter wrong in this case? I'm not sure. I know very little about NASCAR. But he didn't let Skinner pass him, and that seems like his job, so I guess I'm alright with it. That, and the crashes are the only part of NASCAR that even remotely appeals to me, so I'm fine with it.

What's your take?

So that's what happened to Mike Skinner?  Man, he used to a Cup series guy.

I'm always amazed when they don't get hurt in these, that was a violent hit.

Skinner was already on the inside and Sauter forced him into the grass, so yes he was at fault.

That's a nasty hit.  Sauter shouldn't have done that, but it happens.  It wasn't dirty, just not smart.

Johnny Sauter never has been the brightest crayon in the box.

I remember watching Johnny Sauter on NASCAR Drivers 360 and "disliking him intensely" - his arrogance, his attitude that he "deserved" a Cup ride.  I'm not surprised he's racing in the Truck series, and I'm not surprised he'd making bonehead moves.  Skinner is far from my favortie driver - to quote Ron Hornaday Jr, "I hate him on the track" but to see that kind of a crash because of another driver's stupidity is something we ALL hate to see.
