There have been some seriously epic meltdowns in pro baseball over the years, and you know what, you can now officially add this one to the list.
This is Kash Beauchamp, manager of the Wichita Wingnuts (independent minor league team) and he is not happy about a call from Wednesday night's game. No sir.
And to make his point that he's mad about the call, Beauchamp decides not only to stick his smelly shoe in the ump's face, but also his armpit. Also, pay close attention to the music as he charges out of the dugout. Yes, that Stone Cold Steve Austin's entrance music. Me thinks Beauchamp has been in a few disagreements with umps over the course of his managerial tenure.
Also, I can't be sure, but I'm confident Beauchamp won his well reasoned argument.
Man, if only Earl Weaver had used the armpit tactic in his battles with umps. Wait, on second thought, it was probably better he didn't do that.
By the way, Beauchamp's blowup means I'm required by law to show you the best manager/ump dust up in history. Go Braves.
