Lauren Caitlin Upton got the whole how-to-look thing down. As far as bringing the mental portion to the table, Miss South Carolina was off the map. Literally. Check out this attempted answer during Friday's Miss Teen USA Pageant.

Just.Wow.

Maybe now we know why Steve Spurrier made such a big fuss about the South Carolina academic admissions policy.

uhhhh. yeah... What a fruit cake... I don't know too many people that haven't seen a map. Sure, maybe if you're 3 years old. But even preschoolers are learning that stuff... well, maybe not that early. But geeze. We need to help Africa and Iraq because we are stupid and can't point out the US on the map?

All I heard her say was that we need to improve Africa and Iraq's schools because Americans don't know where we are on the map.

To be honest, it looked to me like she sort of panicked and her mind went blank. It's hard to imagine what it's like to be on national TV and have to answer a question when you know millions of people are watching, a lot of people freeze up and it kind of looked like that's what happened to her.

OH MY....I haven't really botherd looking into the actual answer being that I figured it would be just some blunder in some "All I want is World peace...yada, yada, yada" type answer, but did she smoke something or snort something before answering that question! I understand nervs and all, but OH MY!! This is worse than Jessica Simpson and the tuna fish comment.
