Thanks to NFL Juice, we have this excellent commercial for Janglers, which are clearly far more stylish than the Wranglers that Brett Favre pitches.
But on to the game: Both teams have played slightly below expectations. The Jets lost at home last week to a Patriots team that many thought they should have beat, and the Chargers... well... they're 0-2 after losing consecutive games in the waning moments.
The Chargers are favored by slightly more than a TD, and it's hard to think that they won't win. But then again, Favre is old hat as far as this Monday Night thing goes, and he has had some success. For the Chargers, LaDainian Tomlinson has had a slow start, and their defense took a big hit when Shawne Merriman went down for the year.
If the Jets are going to win, they'll have to take advantage of Merriman's absence. If Brett Favre and the offense can move up and down the field, then they have a chance. But it's hard to believe that their defense will be very effective, since the Chargers offense has been extremely potent so far.
