NBA Opening Night Pt. 2: Stuart Scott, Stephen A. and Bill Walton Will Fuel All Your Halloween Nightmares
READ MORE:
NBA

Yes, that's right. No horror house needed this evening, just tune into ESPN's NBA basketball opening night coverage and you'll be sufficiently frightened. For some reason the network decided putting those three together was a good idea.

We'll have to wait another night for the "Big 3" to get underway, so tonight the story is Lebron James and Kevin Durant. Can Lebron build upon his sensational play in the Eastern Conference Finals and how effective will Kevin Durant be on Day 1? Looking forward to those answers.

If you're not out trick or treating, feel free to share in the nightmare that is Stu, Stephen A and Bill.

I AM READY FOR MY SEASON DEBUT. I WOULD DRESS UP FOR HALLOWEEN, BUT THAT MIGHT TAKE AWAY FROM HOW IMPORTANT I AM.

Sadly, Screamin A is the best analyst in the studio.

If Michael Redd were on a legit team and not stuck in Milwaukee he'd get MVP consideration this year.  Instead he'll continue to be underrated.

All he really got was an extra year.  He would've gotten similar money to go to Cleveland.  It was more about being loyal I think.  That and I don't think he thought Larry Harris could be this bad of a GM.

right, but he would be getting a lot more recognition playing next to Lebron. He took the extra year and the higher per year raises that the player's current team is allowed. It had a lot to do with money.

The half time show of Walton, Scott, and Smith during the Cavs/Mavs game was the absolute worst half time show I have ever had the displeasure of listening to. I'd rather have listened to that other black guy that wears the really large black glasses that are too big for his face.

yeah overtime basketball on opening night. quite the comeback for the bulls although they botched the final possession.

I'm thinking they just want us to really appreciate the awesomeness of the TNT crew by giving us the worst possible studio show.

I think TNT should just do their own halftime show whenever any of the games go to halftime. I would turn away and watch it.

Kevin Durant might be okay.

He's also quickly learned the NBA way ... just shoot a lot and eventually you'll score a lot.

I kid a little. He's going to be awesome, but he's 3 of 14 right now. eek.

I made the mistake of saying that right away.  Oh well.  Like you said, he's going to be awesome.

I'm a little disappointed that 3-way trade for Kobe didn't go down, although the Lakers really would've gotten the raw end of that deal.

I don't think it's over by any means ... just hasn't gone down yet. Just my gut, but I'm starting to mentally prepare myself for Kobe in a Bulls uniform. I think it will happen sometime over the next two weeks. Ugh and Yay at the same time.

this is completely random. I don't know if anyone is watching Letterman right now, but Papelbon is on and the kid is f-ing hillarious.

Yea I would turn to NBC because Eva Mendes is smokin' hot and on Leno.

he just threw Big Papi under the bus. He called him "the bedazzler" as in the little glue gun pre-teen girls use to decorate clothing.

I turned away to watch the 3rd part of the South Park trilogy. It was hilarious, I am watching it again now.

I hope so.  If they deal as is goes down Kupchek will have traded away Shaq and Kobe for Lamar Odom, Ron Artest, Ben Wallace, and Kwame Brown.  Obviously you don't get full value for those guys, but, um, yeah.  Lakers aren't going anywhere with him running the show.
