The first time these two met in week 6, Peyton Manning was in rhythm with Antonio Cromartie. They were unstoppable. Problem was that Cromartie plays for the Chargers and caught 3 of Peyton's 5 interceptions in a Colts 21-23 loss.
Don't expect the same performance from Manning this afternoon. One of the more surprising storylines, or lack thereof, is the hush-hush on the Indianapolis Colts. They still won the Super Bowl last year and won 13 games this season, nearly beating New England in the process. The loss of Dwight Freeney continues to hurt, as does an injured Marvin Harrison -- who may or may not contribute today -- but let's not forget Bob Sanders and the capabilities of a guy named Peyton. Indy is more than capable of repeating.
What the hell is that annoying echo in the RCA Dome? It is even more annoying than NFL fans bitching about the Patriots being 17-0 but I digress. Anyway to stop that annoying noise? By the way there is no stopping the Patriots so far this season. Good day to all.
At first I read your comment and said "What echo? What is he talking about?!" But now I hear it too- it's like a humming noise. Maybe there's a section of monks in the crowd?
I hope this game continues like this and I might have picked me an upset.
Great footwork by the wasted draft pick, TD Colts.
This game is killing me...hold on Colts...the Dome must go out with a win!
You had to be somewhat glad that the Colts drafted a WR like him now when you figure that Harrison has been injured for most of the season and Clark was injured for a short time. Plus it's not like Harrison will be playing for much longer
What a terrible way for the RCA Dome (and maybe Dungy) to go out...
Well, congrats on the Super Bowl victory Patriots. The Chargers won't beat them, and no one from the NFC can, as much as I'd love to see the Pack or Cowboys do it.
There were some odd decisions there, especially the home run balls with 3 minutes to go. There was no need for that.
No kidding. I was screaming at the TV. That was such a winnable game. If you tell me that Tomlinson, Gates, and Rivers would all be hurt, I'd tell you we'd dominate.
Congrats to the Chargers, enjoy getting destroyed by the Pats...
