It doesn't seem appropriate on a day when we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. and his quest for freedom that NBA makes fans watch the Bulls, Grizzlies and Heat on national television.

With a full slate of NBA games this evening, we thought we'd get the nightly open thread up a little early in case you actually plan to watch Chicago and Memphis. You'd be better off watching the full MLK "I Have A Dream" speech above. True Hoops also posts a few key quotes from King, Jr. that aren't as widely publicized as this famous speech.

NBA: Chicago at Memphis (TNT, 5:30); Cleveland at Miami (TNT, 8); Denver at Los Angeles Lakers (TNT, 10:30)
NCAA Men Basketball: Syracuse at Georgetown (ESPN, 7); Texas at Oklahoma State (ESPN, 9); San Francisco at Gonzaga (ESPN, midnight)
NCAA Women's Basketball: North Carolina at Connecticut (ESPN2, 7)
NHL: Washington at Pittsburgh (Versus, 7)
Tennis: Australian Open, at Melbourne: Fourth round (ESPN Classic, 6 a.m. (live) and ESPN2, 3 pm (same-day tape) ); Men's and women's quarterfinals (ESPN2, 9 pm and 3:30 am)

4	I hate to bring a serious note to a sports blog but I have to admit that this is my favorite post thus far on FaniQ. As sad as it is I have never watched the entire speech. Thank you CF for posting the video and allowing me to watch the speech in its entirety. Truly inspiring... truly remarkable.
