If I had told you Washington State would hold North Carolina to 68 points you'd have given the Cougars fairly good odds.
Yeah, no.
Unfortunately, Wazzu managed just 31.67 percent shooting from the field and a horrid 2 of 16 from three-point range. Derrick Low had to be on and he could have been any more off - 2-for-9 from deep.
Tyler Hansbrough scored 18 points to lead UNC, Danny Green added 15.
No one is playing better than the Tar Heels right now, but no one may be better prepared to knock them down than their next opponent.
Watching Character/Padgett and Hansbrough go at it should be fun. I'm disappointed we didn't get a Harangody/Hansbrough match-up so hopefully this will make up for it. UNC scored almost 30 more points than what WAZZU had been giving up in the tournament so far, which says quite a bit about both teams.
Either Flex or Deon is going to have to take pressure off of Tyler in the post and Lawson must break the press if Louisville does decide to do so. Right now I believe that North Carolina, Louisville, and Kansas are playing at the highest level and Louisville may be the toughest competition for the Tar Heels all season, win or lose.
