I'm sure only about 4 of you out there saw this, because honestly, who in the hell was watching 6-6 Notre Dame taking on Hawaii on Christmas Eve? Hell, I'd rather wrap presents, which was exactly what I was doing while this game was going on.
But anyway, during the Golden Domers beat down of Hawaii, there was a bizarrely cool play where a hard hit led to Notre Dame player Michael Floyd's helmet having some gold pieces fly off of it. Naturally, announcer Dave Pasch immediately used the term "golden shower" to describe the flying gold pieces. Bad choice of words, my friend.
I just hope we can get Pasch to do a Cavs game soon, just so I can hear him rattle off this line: "LeBron drives to the hoop and unloads a Cleveland Steamer on the defense!"
Also of note, by beating Hawaii, Notre Dame - which lost to freakin' Syracuse this year - finally won their first bowl game since 1993. Sounds to me like it's time for another 10-year extension for Weis.
As I was watching the game I looked over at my Girlfriend's Brother after he said that and as he busted out laughing I instantly said..."He Can't Say That on TV". The best was his wife goes why not? I decided to let him explain it to her.
