Oklahoma City Thunder Win First NBA Game Ever [NBA Triple Threat]
Oklahoma City Thunderstruck The T'Wolves
NBA Triple Threat: Your daily roundup of last night's action in the Association.

Oklahoma City 88 Minnesota 85 Congratulations to Minnesota for giving the Oklahoma City Thunder their first win in franchise history. Kevin Durant led the way with 18 points while Jeff Green chipped in 13 points, and Nick Collison contributed his first double-double of the season. It was the Thunder's rookie point guard Russell Westbrook who stepped up the most though, with two huge steals late in the 3rd quarter to give the Thunder the momentum they needed for a 4th quarter surge. Al Jefferson did everything he could to prevent losing to the Thunder by getting a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds. The Thunder had 25 second-chance points to 11 for the Timberwolves. The Timberwolves drop to 1-2 on the young season.

Milwaukee 94 New York 86 Michael Redd left in the 3rd quarter with an apparent ankle injury, but the Bucks were able to hang on and shut down Mike D'Antoni's high flying Knicks to improve their record to 2-2. All five Milwaukee starters scored in double figures, led by Richard Jefferson and Ramon Sessions with 18 points apiece. Andrew Bogut even showed that he wasn't a complete waste of space by scoring 13 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and even blocking 3 shots. Scott Skiles has brought his tough minded, defensive philosophy to Milwaukee and so far this season it has paid off by holding their last three opponents to 87, 91, and 86 points respectively. The Knicks have struggled on the offensive end since their 120 point explosion on opening night to the tune of back to back games of 87 and 86 points, and is the big part of the reason they are 1-2.

No real rumors or notes, so here are some highlights from the Thunder's first victory because there is a good chance they won't win too many more.

You can say The won their first ever AS A RELOCATED FRANCHISE, BUT, remember where they are originally from. Does SEATTLE,  WASHINGTON ring anyones bell? or did everyone forget about The SuperSonics already (Lenny Wilkins, Spencer Haywood, Slick Watts, Jack Sikma, John Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Gus Williams, Lonnie Shelton, Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, etc.)?  How could any basketball fan forget all of those great players? It will be like they never existed.

Well that would be true had they not left the Sonics colors and complete history in Seattle. I believe that was part of the settlement that was reached when Clay Bennett hijacked moved the team.  I am like 95% sure about that.

The only time I know of a team leaving its history behind is The Cleveland Browns. You know them now as The Baltimore Ravens. They were allowed to leave the history because the city and fans took them to court and the NFL PROMISED them a new team who are NOW The Cleveland Browns. So, until that is a sure deal on the history part my guess is The Thunders history will be Seattle SuperSonics. Remember The Cincinati Royals? Today you know them as The Sacremento Kings who also left Kansas City.  Need I go further?

That explains it much better than I can but the basic gist of it is that if/when Seattle gets a new team then all of the Sonics history is there's.

No sir. If Seattle gets a new team ALL OF THEIR HISTORY will be brand new. When The Baltimore Ravens came to Baltimore They came as an old franchise with a new beginning. The Baltimore HISTORY is in Indianapolis with The Colts. The New Cleveland Browns is the only New Franchise in HISTORY to claim a very historic background. It was unheard of until then.

Any franchise that is still in business ALWAYS KEEP THEIR HISTORY. They can take it anywhere they move to unless it's contested by city and state ordinance.
