There was a lot of talking leading up to this weekend's NBA Playoffs about postseason experience and how it might affect players like Chris Paul, Pau Gasol and the young 76ers.
Turns out if you're really good, or in the case of the 76ers, work extremely hard, experience has no factor.
Paul was indefensible Saturday night scoring 35 points and dishing 10 assists, controlling the game throughout.
Gasol had played in a few postseasons before with the Memphis Grizzlies, but he'd never won a playoff game. With the benefit of playing on a legit team, Pau dominated the Nuggets with 36 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists.
In Detroit last night, Andre Igoudala, Thaddeus Young and Willie Green didn't seem fazed going against a Pistons team chalk full of playoff experience. Igoudala, who I think we all quickly forget is still 24, is one of the more experience 76ers with a total of five playoff games to his credit. Three years ago. His 16 points, 9 boards, 8 assists and overall outhustling of the East's 2nd seed was key.
