There's really not much to say here, except that this was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. Apparently Pac-10 officials have never heard of "let them play."
Arizona State's Jeff Pendergraph had a big follow-up-dunk with 16.9 seconds left that would have tied the game at 57-57. Instead, the zebras thought otherwise and called him for a foul on USC's Davon Jefferson. Jefferson hit his free throws at the other end, and the Trojans eventually won 59-55.
I know people always say, a call like this never really makes or breaks a game because you could have put yourself in a better position to win earlier. Those people are idiots.
This game was severely impacted by a horrendous call. And it means a lot for ASU, who is likely gone from the tournament now. I just hope we don't see any Pac-10 refs in the Tourney after their performances of the last week.
There is more contact being made at the concession stand lines than that. Calling that at that point is ridiculous. The SC guy did not even try to make it look like a foul.
