With the crappy teams the Cavs give him, I think not. Because when Paul Pierce wins this and next year, he'll have three championships. And Lebron'll be lucky to get 1.

I think you're mistaken. You see, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are insane ballplayers and also good people. They are the opposite of classless. Read this: "The Truth Fund was founded in May of 2002 by Boston Celtics Co-Captain, Paul Pierce, as a means to streamline his charitable efforts and connect with disadvantaged children in the Greater Boston area and his hometown of Inglewood, CA. The mission of The Truth Fund is to provide educational and life-enriching opportunities for underprivileged youth by offering resources and programs that foster safe and stable environments.

The Truth Fund is a result of Paul's community activism and a collaboration of the following outreach initiatives: Project Hope, Read to Achieve, Pierce's Playground, Family Fun Day, Paul Pierce Turkey Giveaway, and the Paul Pierce Celebrity Softball Challenge." But Kevin Garnett's definetely a jerk "Minneapolis, MinnFebruary 26, 2003 -- The day before leading the Western Conference All-Stars to a double overtime victory over the East, Most Valuable Player Kevin Garnett of the Minnesota Timberwolves spent Saturday afternoon hosting a student focus group, attended by Atlanta-area students and leading business executives. The focus group was a critical first step for the technological component of Kevin’s 4XL-For Excellence in Leadership Foundation® in conjunction with Monster, the leading global online careers property.

4XL - For Excellence in Leadership® - a Kevin Garnett Foundation, was launched in early 2002 to connect minority high school and college students with business leaders and internet-based guidance, while preparing them for business-related careers and entrepreneurship. In 2003, 4XL joined with Monster to develop the online component for the program. The relationship will give students throughout the country access to career development tools and services online through Monster's leading technology. The co-branded website will also enable students to gain exposure to business careers; provide access to scholarship, internship, and job opportunities; and receive advice from business and community leaders on how to achieve their career goals. Kevin Garnett led the focus group on February 8th with Atlanta-area minority high school and college students, who shared their career aspirations and perceived challenges to achieving their goals. Kevin also solicited their input on a prototype version of the 4XL® website and career development tools that will launch later this year, powered by Monster. Three influential business leaders also shared their personal experiences and advice with the students—senior Harvard Business School Professor James Cash who is also a board member at Microsoft Corporation and General Electric, Michael Dennis--a senior executive at Avaya Corporation, and Steve Pogorzelski-President of Monster for North America.

"I was impressed by the academic and career guidance information, college scholarship and internship search tools, and online mentoring resources that I will be able to get from 4XL's website and personalized emails. For someone interested in a career in media and entertainment, it will be like one-stop shopping for me," said Alexandra Robinson, a junior at Lovett High School in Atlanta. "Hearing from Kevin Garnett about how they are building the 4XL program with a company like Monster makes all the difference for students my age."

"It was a great experience to bring these young people together with true business role models and to share a little of what I have learned during my journey as a professional athlete and an entrepreneur," Garnett said. "But getting feedback from the students--the real experts-on how 4XL can reach them and give them a roadmap to reach their dreams was the most fun."

Kevin Garnett, 26 years old, is an eight-year NBA veteran, perennial All-Star forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and member of the gold-medal-winning USA Basketball team in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. He entered the NBA in 1995 directly after graduating from high school at Farragut Academy in Chicago. Garnett has marketing partnerships with several leading international brands, including AND1, General Mills, Wilsons Leather, Upper Deck Company, and Japan Energy. Garnett has been a spokesperson for American Express, EA Sports' NBA Live 2001 video game, ESPN's The Magazine, Humongous Sports' Backyard Basketball game, and appeared in the American Dairy Association's "got milk?" campaign. He is also developing his own apparel brand, Official Block Family (OBF). He is a native of Mauldin, South Carolina. His 4XL-For Excellence in Leadership® Foundation provides high school and early college students with exposure to and preparation for business careers through a personalized technology-based academic/career guidance roadmap in an alliance with Monster, and 2-to-3 day business immersion experiences at corporations. Garnett launched 4XL®'s corporate immersion program at the 2002 NBA All-Star Weekend by bringing two Minneapolis area students to Philadelphia to learn about the business side of the National Basketball Association. 4XL® is a partnership with Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT, www.ML4T.org), a New York-based non-profit 501c3 organization. For additional information about Kevin Garnett's 4XL-For Excellence in Leadership® program, please contact Ken Blacklow at (212) 686-2960, ext. 10 or ken@4XL.org"

As a result of his commitment off the court, Paul received the 2002 NBA "Home Team Community Service Award" which included a $50,000 grant to donate to the charity of his choice. Paul selected Project Hope, an organization that is dedicated to developing and providing effective family support solutions. He was able to refurbish their children’s center and playground with equipment, books and computer programs to promote literacy and reading readiness."
