I've always thought "White Out's" were silly. Usually, because other than showing some fan unity, I don't know that they affect anything that happens on the field. A total orange out in Assembly Hall on the other hand has to be maddening.
But at Penn State, which might have the loudest fans in the country, do a White Out right. You see a lot of places where "adults" are too cool to join in with students and wear a white t-shirt and shake a pom-pom. Not at Penn State.
The video also contains a festive cheer , something about the Irish. It's a message that I approve, but you're co-workers may not so don't turn the volume up too high.
The Phoenix Coyotes/Winnipeg Jets franchise also has a whiteout tradition for home playoff games (which unfortunately hasn't happened in a few years) and they are also pretty impressive. The team certainly doesn't have the tradition overall that Penn State does, but we've had the Whiteout for alot longer than they have, going back to the original days in Winnipeg.
