We've seen octopi thrown on the ice in Detroit, rats in Florida, catfish in Nashville and just plain garbage from time to time. But this is a new one, and something I hope I never see again.
Almost immediately after the Philadelphia Flyers goal in Overtime had been waved off, a crazy fan decided to throw a stink/smoke bomb on the ice. But why should we be surprised? After all, it happened in Philadelphia.
Obviously this is something the NHL should probably look into, the only reason being the safety of the players and fans. How in the world did the fan sneak something like that into the arena? And if they snuck in a harmless smoke bomb, what else could they sneak in?
If the fan was upset, he isn't now. Philadelphia scored later in overtime to defeat the New Jersey Devils 3-2.
