I take it Jay Cutler and Philip Rivers won't be exchanging any gifts this holiday.
San Diego and Denver were awfully chippy last night and ended with, of all people, Rivers talking smack and making fun of Cutler after the Broncos failed to convert a fourth down in the final quarter.
MDS from FanHouse points out the irony of LaDainian Tomlinson always preaching class and sportsmanship. Funny, I didn't hear him calling out his teammates in the post game press conference.

Although I think LT should call him out, if he's going to pull the "class" card any time they lose to the Pats, I really don't have that much of a problem here. Everyone knows who the better QB is, but I think everyone also knows who the better team is. And who's to say that Cutler wasn't talking just as much trash as Rivers? I'd be willing to bet that it went both ways, which is even more pathetic for Cutler, when his team is getting destroyed. We couldn't read his lips because he had a helmet on, but this isn't a one sided thing, I can pretty much guarantee that.
I could care less about either QB, but all this Rivers bashing has me confused. If it's unsportsmanlike to stare down the opposing team after a 4th down stop and say, "atta baby!" over and over, then this really is the No Fun League. Maybe the "bye bye" hand waving was over the top, but Rivers didn't do that.
Rivers is right - Champ and the Broncos are just bitter because they've lost the past four games to the Chargers and are leveraging this media non-story to voice their frustration.
