Ray Lewis is known for many things, like being a clear cut future Hall of Famer, a Super Bowl champion, and getting indicted for murder.

He's also known for nearly killing people on the field as well.

Such was the case in Saturday's game against the Titans, when he damn near decapitated Ahman Hall in the second quarter. It's been a long time since I've heard a hit this hard.

Be interesting to see if the Ravens can win the Super Bowl again, with Lewis being the MVP a second time, just to see who Disney would go to for their annual commercial. My guess would be Bert Joe Flacco.

Is there any question that if Flacco had even just one more year of experience that the Ravens would be the clear Super Bowl favorites right now?  They just don't make any mistakes.

Court TV Covers NFL Star Linebacker Ray Lewis On Trial for Murder

NEW YORK--(BW SportsWire)--May 5, 2000

Live Comprehensive Coverage slated to begin Monday, May 22(a)

Court TV will provide live coverage from Atlanta, GA as Baltimore Ravens standout Ray Lewis faces two counts of murder, two counts of felony murder, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon; all stemming from a Super Bowl Party fracas in the early hours of January 31. Lewis, Reginald Oakley and Joseph Sweeting are accused of fatally stabbing two men - a 21-year old aspiring artist and a 24-year old barber - in a fight outside a trendy nightclub in the Buckhead area. Lewis is the first active NFL player to stand trial for a murder charge. If convicted of murder, Lewis and his co-defendants face life sentences.

"Nearly Decapitated" This is pure, unadulterated bs, hype and deceit!!!  Not only did the guy hold on to the ball, he made a first down and trotted off the field, without hesitation. Does anyone tell the truth anymore?  Then to run with it someone brings back the murder accusation as proof that history repeats itself? You have no shame!!!!!!

Actually, Hall did lose the ball - it's easily seen rolling away at :09 and again at :35...Lewis knocked him halfway to next week, plain and simple.

For the record, 100%InjuryRate didn't, at any time, say that Ray Lewis killed someone.

Let's have fun with grammar for a sec...

When he says "Ray Lewis Nearly Kills Another Guy", that could be interpreted as meaning he killed an additional guy, on top of the one that he previously killed.

OR...

It could be interpreted to mean that he nearly killed another man... as in another man besides himself. Ray Lewis is one guy, Ahman Hall is another guy.

Therefore, 100%InjuryRate isn't the one accusing Ray Lewis of murder... YOU are, by assuming that his statement means that Ray Lewis previously killed someone.

It's a literary device called "exaggeration"....not to be taken seriously in and of itself.  He just meant "it was a hard hit."

Is it just me, or is Ray Lewis getting fat? Surprised he could make it to the sideline.

Ray, Ray is one heck of a linebacker, the best I've seen in my years of watching football, mind you older folks, im only 30 and Im not comparing him to the linebackers of the older days I wasnt even in born yet. Now yes that was one heck of a hit, a monster hit and form goldie-locks to get as fired up as he was in his comment, come on dude, lay off the hard stuff!!...  (only a joke)...  I can hear the PQ's getting clicked already!!.. LOL.

It looked like Hall wanted to acknowledge Lewis for the hit. Lewis just threw his hand up.

I believe it is Ahmard Hall former Marine

Amazing thing is that Lewis didn't really square up and deliver full impact. The replay showed he was slightly off-balance, having slowed to adjust to Hall's cutback. As a footnote, nothing will ever surpass that shot he gave Bam Morris in 1999, when the Bamster foolishly chose to take flight (insert crime reference here) and Lewis impersonated a Tomahawk missile slicing through the Goodyear blimp.

The way some of his teammates kept coughing up the football, I give credit to Hall for holding on.  For all the talk about missed calls, the turnovers especially in the red zone were the true demise of the Titans.

Wow you are so smart Ms Sunshine!!!!

"Exaggeration", is that something we can teach our kids? It certainly seems to serve well in a young ones mind, when trying to establish the difference between, the truth and a lie, right and wrong, huh?

So is exaggeration a grown up concept? Is literature just for adults who understand that exaggeration is just another word for lie? Or is it just acceptable to lie, in a capitalist economy, to sell the product?

O Ms Sunshine, no need to respond, these are all "rhetorical questions", a literary device, actually a question asked for effect that neither expects nor requires an answer. I just meant "it was b/s"
