This classic NBA Finals matchup will definitely spur a lot of bets between longtime rival fans. Apparently, the action got started a couple nights early at Fenway Park.
Busted Coverage was able to track down this hilarious footage of a Red Sox fan, decked out in his favorite Celtics jersey jumping over the wall and racing across the outfield.
The YouTube description clarifies the impetus for his stupidity - besides being a drunk Boston fan, of course:
"This video was taken by my younger brother after a kid leaned into his seat and told him he was going to slide into 2nd base because a bunch of Lakers fans gave him $100. Didn’t make it to second, but it was still hilarious."Let's hope this fan was left with a profit after his inevitable fine. Lakers 1, Celtics 0.
Judging from the effectiveness of those chasing down the fan, the Red Sox organization could use to give its security crew $100 to cover monthly gym fees. Treadmill, meet Sox security. Security, meet treadmill.
