Ref Garth DiFelice Tackles Kenneth Darby Of The Rams
Uh Oh, It's Happening Again. Another Player Gets Laid Out By A Ref.
READ MORE:
NFL
I guess football referees at any level this year have had enough of players running them over. Sunday in the 49ers/Rams game, ref Garth DiFelice decided to deliver a right cross to the jaw of Kenneth Darby when Darby dared to try and knock him down.

That's a better punch than any that was landed in the Holyfield/Valuev fight on Saturday night. Here's video evidence of Darby getting dropped as well.

That, um, interesting move by DeFelice obviously brings back memories of that SEC official earlier this year who had a flashback and tackled South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia.

Man, at this rate I fully expect a ref to shoot a player in the leg during the Super Bowl.

I believe Don King is on the phone right now with representatives for the NFL trying to set up the Holyfield/DiFelice bout for halftime of the Super Bowl

Um no they didn't.  And considering I think I picked the Redskins to finish last in what was supposed to be a tough NFC East, and a lot of unknown variables, I think they have acquitted themselves quite well this year.

I wonder if he got marked down for this. Stuff like that can effect the outcome of the game and he should have moved.

he tried to move, but darby came at him still, so he leaned into it. wouldnt you? ... It was like playing a game of chicken and at the last moment, they both moved the same direction, and then its like "Oh $^*@!"
