Quite a compelling night of NBA action tonight, well, that is if you forget about the Mavericks. Anyway, in Game 1 tonight of ESPN's doubleheader we've got the Mavs going up against the Rockets. Ron Artest has been pretty calm this year so far, but any time he's on TV there's plenty of reason to watch. I'd also watch this game because there's a 95% chance that either Yao or T-Mac will suffer yet another season killing injury. As for the Mavericks, whatever, they suck. Right now, 85% of FanIQ is going with the Rockets.
In Game 2, we've got a Rookie of the Year Mexican stand-off. Derrick Rose has been looking quite impressive as the Bulls point guard so far this year, but he'll face early ROY leader Rudy Fernandez and of course Greg Oden.
Oden, you may recall, was labeled a bust after playing one quarter of ball this year - gotta love those knee-jerk reactions - only to suddenly catch fire of late and cause those same people to suddenly declare him right in the thick of ROY discussions. This game, though early in the season, could help form some writers' opinions of which of these three guys will contend for ROY.
76% of FanIQ is going with the Oden/Fernandez combo for this game.
By the way, I've already made my ROY pick. It's Fernandez, because he made Dwight Howard his bitch during the Olympics.
