Andy Roddick might have played one of his best matches ever. He lost in straight sets. It's not even fair.
Despite a straight set match, last night's Roger Federer-Andy Roddick showcase was entertaining. If nothing else, it was a display of near perfection from Federer who hardly broke a sweat. Roddick could have made some better decisions about when to come to the net, but ultimately he played about as well as could be asked. First serve was sharp, not allowing a break until accepting defeat a few games too early in the 3rd.
In case you missed it, here's a good chunk of video from some key points late in the first set and throughout the 2nd.
