Roger Federer hits most ridiculous shot ever; advances to the US Open Finals

Today, Flushing Meadows saw a fight to the death as Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic fought for the second spot in the US Open Finals. In a weekend that could have been remembered for rain delays and the Serena Williams controversy, Roger Federer gave us a shot that left Djokovic shaking his head and smiling and the rest of us amazed at the ridiculousness of it all.
Federer confessed that he practices this shot quite regularly (as I'm sure many a tennis player has), but that it has never worked for him before. Finishing 7-6 (3), 7-5, 7-5, Federer is one win away from claiming his sixth straight US Open title. He will face Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina on Monday.

In the post-match interview, Federer admitted to practicing that shot though he also said he never really expects to pull it off.
