Roger Federer's New Nike Tennis Ad With Murray From Flight Of The Conchords
Who Says Federer Is Over The Hill?
7/3/08
There's been a lot of discussion over the last couple months about Roger Federer's game and whether he's over the proverbial tennis hill at age 26.
His straight set pummeling at the hands of Rafael Nadal in the French Open was stunning, no doubt, but meanwhile Federer continues to tear through opponents on grass which will set up the inevitable Wimbledon Championship showdown.
Roger's doing just fine. And who says he's getting too old?
One thing Nike has always excelled at is making their endorsed athletes "cool" with their trendy marketing campaigns and always trying to mix into some pop culture with song or personalities. With a lot of talk about Roger Federer being boring lately, I think you know what Nike had in mind when they put this entertaining ad together with Murray from Flight of the Concords.
Good stuff. And good practice for his next Rafael Nadal forehand down the line.
