Rutgers had just one highlight during their 44-12 drubbing (go Big East!) at the hands of North Carolina, but it didn't happen on the field.
After Scarlet Knights quarterback Mike Teel threw his third interception, killing any remote chance of a comeback, ESPN panned quickly into the Rutgers student section and the fine gent in the middle of the picture had a message for ESPN. Classy.
Now, I might consider briefly applauding this Rhodes Scholar for the gesture we've all wanted to give to ESPN from time to time, but this comes from a student body who chanted, "F--- You, Navy. F--- You, Navy" one year ago.
Needless to say, the Rutgers student body is about as impressive as their football team to start this season.
This student should be suspended from all college games in the future. There is no place for this action in college sports. Its a big deal to be on National TV for the college, this is bad for Rutgers, New Jersey and ESPN. Rutgers should suspend this student from games and school.
