Flopping In Soccer? We All Know It Exists, But We May Not Have Realized How Bad It Really Is. |

One of the things I hate the most about Soccer is the constant flopping. Just when you think it's a good game, someone gets nudged, or brushes up against another player, and then he goes flailing to the ground, as if he had been hit with a right hook from Rampage Jackson.
This one takes it to a new level, though. Sergio Escudero almost got hit with a linesman's flag, but decided to take full advantage of it, and dropped like a rock. A rock that was in tremendous pain, after being beaten mercilessly, that is.
I really don't even know what he was trying to do. Get the linesman a yellow card? Seriously... what was the point of this flop? I'm certainly no soccer afficianado, but even I know that you can't draw a penalty on one of the officials. It just doesn't work that way.
Then again, it was probably just reflexes, since soccer players do this literally ALL THE FREAKING TIME. Here's some additional proof, in the form of an awesome video of phantom flops.
