Snickers Ad withdrawn, along with our sense of humor

Since you'll no longer be seeing this ad on television, here it is for those found this amusing but not in a bad way. It's ok to laugh, I promise.
In ninth place on the Super Bowl Ad Meter: A Snickers ad featuring two mechanics eating a candy bar, Lady and the Tramp-style. Hope you enjoyed it at the Super Bowl, because you won't be seeing it again. It has been withdrawn after complaints from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and the Human Rights Campaign.
A little ridiculous if you ask me. Somehow the embarrasing racial profiling GM ad has made the cut. If this is the case, please remove many other ads for defamation of the ad industry.

just a sense of humor would do.

Why would any man ever put his mouth on a snickers bar that is in another man's mouth? That was disgusting.

Looks like that Ad should grab a snickers, because it's going anywhere for a while...

I was wondering how long it would take to get that one pulled.  It made it longer than I thought.  My guess was Sunday for the last airing.

Was it just me or did the mass majority of the SUPER BOWL ads SUCK!

That's funny.  I would have thought GLAAD would support the ad and Christian groups would attack it for gay activity on TV.  I thought the ad was gross, so I could care less.

I didn't notice the racial profiling GM ad though..hmm

I like what one of Deadspin's commenters said, if it had been two attractive women who kissed no one would have complained.

It probably would've been rated the top commercial

I hope not. It's a cartoon. There is worse violence to animals every day in kid's cartoons.

I know that, you know that and most of America knows that.  Unfortunately, this is what PETA does

It wasn't really that particular ad that caused the uproar. It was the online ad campaign that drew the most fire. Online, there were other versions of the ad, including one where the guys attack each other with wrenches after they "kiss". People felt that it promoted violence against gays.

The GM ads were pretty bad. Deadspin had a good point this morning about how the suicidal robot would remind all of their former workers that they lost jobs to robots.

I like what one of Deadspin's commenters said, if it had been two attractive women who kissed no one would have complained.

I'm waiting for PETA to strike against Blockbuster for there ad with the hamsters stepping on the mouse to try and get the internet to work.  I thought that commercial was hilarious, PETA will probably scream foul and Blockbuster will relent and have the add pulled.

I didn't really think the commercial was that great, but I do think this country can be a little too sensitive sometimes.
