Blog Photo - Stanley Cup Finals Game 2 Open ThreadAnze Kopitar and his Kings showed us just how exciting overtime goals can be in his gorgeous breakaway shot against Marty Brodeur in game one of the Stanley Cup finals. Perhaps Kopitar shouldn't have been left open like that...but he was. And he capitalized, keeping the Kings white hot in these playoffs.

Frankenberry's is only one of many exciting OT shots to end a playoff game. Take a look at some overtime playoff goals of the past, courtesy of NHL.com.

Will tonight's game prove to be as thrilling as game one last Wednesday? Without a doubt. Watch it on NBC (CBC for our Northern friends) tonight at 8:00ET and join us as we Q it up here!

Unfortunately I haven't been able to watch (I'm ridiculously superstitious, and the only 2 Kings games I've watched in these playoffs are the two they've lost) - but two OTs in two games is pretty good in the excitement area, even if it is low scoring. I love good goalie play, and there's no doubt there's been some of that.

(As for wishing the Coyotes made it..........yeah....that would have made it more interesting.)

That's true...  The games have been close no question.  That's good.  I just prefer a more wide open style of play.  Maybe it's just me...

Like Jess, I am not watching or saying, cause it seems to be working, but everyone knows who I'm cheering for! Yeah go, you can do it! WIN!

This series isn't the most interesting Final possible.  Not only is both teams style of play not the most entertaining brand of hockey to watch, but I personally don't have a rooting interest this year.  I don't HATE either team, but both are teams I don't have any reason to root for.  So I am just hoping we get a good series.

I really wish the Coyotes made it to the Finals.  It's a lot more fun when there is a rooting interest.
