Stephen A. Smith Heckled At 2008 NBA Draft
Kevin Love Would Appreciate Some Cheese Doodles
READ MORE:

QUITE FRANKLY, this makes up for Ana Ivanovic's loss, and then some.

Even though Stephen A. Smith has been continuously demoted and moved off the main ESPN set, that didn't prevent the Stephen A. Smith Heckling Society of Gentlemen from making their way to Madison Square Garden to catch a glimpse of their spiritual leader and interview draft picks.

I'll let the man himself, the self-described Colonel of SASHSG describe their latest video:
"I think this is the weakest video yet, yet in a lot of ways the most impressive. On the one hand, I think it’s lacking in genuinely “clever” moments — there is no “People’s Princess” line here, nothing close. On the other, we had to confront the unique challenge of dealing with no SAS on the actual panel, which meant no ridiculous SAS hyperbole upon which to feed, and I think the results were pretty solid. On the one hand, the player interactions are, on average, a bit less funny. On the other hand, Kevin Love turns out to be a fan of the SASHSG, and Joe Alexander a delightful gentleman. On the one hand, this was the first year in which we didn’t even TRY to have SAS hear us in the studio. On the other hand, we also had our most direct brush with SASness–purely by accident (which is why I sounded so unprepared. I was just plain stunned).

I don’t think it’s the Godfather III (or Police Academy 6) of the series, by any means. But I think 2007 remains the best of the bunch, by a lot. I did like that the overall mood was a bit darker this time."
This was by no means "weak." The parallel struggles between Puppet A. Smith and Stephen A. Smith make this their best video to date. Enjoy.

Another priceless submission from the great SASHSG. Kevin Love's shout out was great, too. If SAS does indeed quit and/or get forced out of the draft coverage, I won't miss him at all. But I will miss these guys.

Gotta love it.

While I do agree 2007 is and always will be the greatest by far, this years wasn't bad at all.

Finally; real player recognition, and it was great by Love.

The genuine depressed look over SAS's face all night was nothing but the best as well.

Stephen A. is horrible.  When his ESPN Radio show was taken off the air I thought maybe he'd be outright fired next.  Unfortunately I'm not that lucky.

If you could've thrown in a SLAVA MEDVEDENKO reference you would've had everything covered.
