I'm sure you discussed this plenty over the last two days, but I've never been so entertained by a player running over, around, in between and right past my team (might have a lot to do with being on my fantasy team).
I've been trying to catch up on highlights today from over the weekend, but haven't been able to get very far as I keep returning to the Adrian Peterson show. It was also nice of Ron Turner to include Devin Hester in the offense. Good thing that didn't work out.
Many rookies have started out with tremendous performances that are on par with Adrian Peterson and then have either been injured or fell off the map. Of course, there are a handful who continued dominating the league throughout their entire careers. We know who they are.
Ron Jaworski went so far as to call him the best runner in the league Monday morning. Maybe we're getting too carried away too soon, but I think he's second best in the NFL right now. Do think AD will be among the best ever or will an injury get in the way?
I saw this guy run through and over teams and players in his three years at OU and this doesn't surprise me at all. The injuries he had were fluke ones, high ankle sprains happen all the time and a broken collarbone isn't something you see every year. It is amazing the amount of purple that is in Oklahoma now that he is there though.
2nd best in the NFL? No way he's that good...yet. I probably wouldn't put him as a top 10 back yet, but I think barring injury, he's well on his way yet.
