Here's Day 2 of the worst of Billy Packer. This is of course the infamous "People's Elbow" delivered by Gerald Henderson to the face of Tyler Hansbrough.
I remember watching this game and my initial reaction was, there's no way that was unintentional. Not that I mean Henderson meant to break Hansbrough's nose, but he was certainly trying to deliver a message.
Billy Packer, however, thought it was just a hard foul, even though a pint of Hansbrough's blood was on the court. Initially, I wasn't too upset about that, because I thought, well maybe Packer didn't have the best angle. But then they showed the replay about 700 times in the time span of 5 minutes, and it only seemed to cement the fact that Henderson was attempting to kill Hansbrough. Even Nance questioned Packer, who continued to brush it off.
I can just imagine what Packer was thinking. "These kids are sissies! I used to play after my leg was hacked off! I'm Billy Packer!"
It is amazing how Henderson's elbow survived such a vicious attack from Hansbrough's nose.
Billy you say you have been able to do your job without a computer or a cell phone. Well you forgot to mention that you have done your job without a clue. Billy you are truly a piece of work.
Hurry Billy, someone is saying something bad about Duke! Go break it up!
