The Pistons And Rasheed Wallace Clearly Take Their Opponents Seriously
by 100%InjuryRate 100%InjuryRate | >7 days ago4 Comment Comments »

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years, then you're well aware that the Detroit Pistons are known for not exactly taking their opponents very seriously. The Pistons frequently allow inferior opponents to go up 3-1 or 3-2 in a series that should have been been over in 5 games.

And after yesterday's awesome Pistons performance, we seem well on our way to that scenario happening yet again. But Rasheed sums up the Pistons attitude better than anyone else. Right before a critical inbounds play - TO HIM - at the end of the game, Sheed decides to get into the Sixers team huddle to do whatever the hell it is Sheed does.

Naturally you'd think Sheed is trying to figure out what defense they'll run at him or something, but I doubt it - judging by the fact that he comes out of the huddle laughing, then blows an easy potential game-tying shot.

So if you're wondering why the Pistons have won only one title in the last 4-5 seasons, wonder no more.

[By the way, the most shocking thing about this video is that it didn't come from Odenized. It's ok, we forgive you.]

+1 thumbs up

I think they are rusty, The starters have not played (as far as I know and I know very little) a lot of meaningful minutes over the past few weeks, and it showed.

It is tough to "turn it back on".

Oh that wacky Sheed, what shenanigans will he get into next?

Thats the pistons for ya.  They used to be so dominant they pretty much turned it on and off whenever they wanted to in a game.  I think theyre trying to do that again, and it just doesnt work that well anymore (ex. Lebron).  If they stopped playing down to opponents, they also might win a few more.  Id like to see this team play in the West where almost every night is a test, I think they have the same record if not better.
