The older I get, and honestly, I'm not that old, I become more and more startled by how, uh, provocatively young girls dress. You've got 12 year old girls walking around who look like they're late for their set at the local strip club.

It's even worse in high school. Like take the Jonesboro high school dance team in Atlanta, for instance. Parents at a January 13th basketball game complained that the girls danced inappropriately at halftime - if by dance inappropriately you mean the girls wore thigh-high stockings, tiny shorts and tight shirts, all while giving the equivalent of strip club routines to guys they pulled out of the stands (starts at about 1:45).

A video was put up of the incident on YouTube subtly titled "The Sluts of Jonesboro", which of course quickly gained popularity.

As one can probably guess, news broke yesterday that the whole team had been disbanded for the rest of the school year, which, frankly I agree with. Just look at those lap dances. Despicable. Those girls need at least another year of practice before they should be allowed to grind any guy on a chair. Shaking your butt for cash isn't nearly as easy as it looks. Also, can someone please bring poles next time?

First of all, make sure you mute this video before starting it, the music cant be heard anyway. Second of all, even with the lack of creativity, lack of any dancing whatsoever, these girls are STILL not in step. These girls make Paris Hilton look like a hard worker.

Sadly, I don't think this is the first or the last time we will see something like this.  This is pretty much the way society has been heading for a while, and it's a shame that these girls are so young, and are dancing like this.  It's also a shame that in lieu of any creativity, this dance team (and many others we haven't been exposed to yet) resorts to this type of provocative dancing. 

A little too late but now even the step team which will perform at halftime for the rest of the season will have "all routines screened by staff before the performance. "

I think they were coached by their counselor who advised them this was the only career the dancers were cut out for...so they are just practicing to be good strippers
