The Titans had a little trickeration going on, in their 21-18 win in the Hall of Fame game to open the 2009 NFL preseason. In the first quarter, they ran a fake punt/statue of liberty type play with punter AJ Trapasso, and he ran in 40 yards for the TD.

The play gave the Titans an early lead, and gave the fans something to care about, in a game that (let's be honest, here) matters about as much as last night's Nationals-Diamondbacks game.

I'm definitely hoping that we see more of this. Anything to make the preseason a little more eventful is fine in my book.

I tend to get a bit too overzealous for preseason football. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate NFL Network but it's just nice to watch games that aren't from 1960 or that you already know the outcome of. I kept asking the guy to speed things along so I could see the game. Ok that and it hurt like a bitch. Deciding to get all of your tattoos retouched and a new one all at the same time wasn't the most genius idea i've ever had.

2	That's what I was thinking. However, I'm sure there are audibles for the play and Fish probably wanted to see how successful the play could be. Then again, the Lions are always preseason champs and we see how that turns out.

0	I hope some college teams pick this play up. That would be alright!! I was a real good fake, and a heck of a run for a punter. But I agree, they should have waited for a point when they really needed some trickery. But who really cares? Its the oilers.

1	I think it was smart to run it in pre-season, now other teams have to prepare for as well at the reverse. How was that shift legal though? It guess it doen't matter where you shift to as long as you're the only one in motion. nice play design
