Todd Duffee Sets UFC Record With 7 Second TKO Against Tim Hague
Todd Duffee Set A UFC Record, Getting The TKO Vs Tim Hague In 7 Seconds
READ MORE:

When you watch the above video, do not blink. Seriously. You'll miss the fight. It only lasted 7 seconds, which is a new UFC record for 23-year old Todd Duffee.

After the fight, Duffee referred to the fight as an appetizer, and asked Dana White for a "meal". He also took Dana aside and said that he wants to be on the fast track, so expect to see this guy again something real soon, possibly in November, where the UFC is holding several huge events.

Tim Hague needs to find another profession.  How in the hell can you start the fight with your hands down and face wide the F#¢% open like that.  Completely embarrassing. I'm embarrassed and I've never heard of the guy.  Back to selling timeshares or whatever it is you do....

his hands were up, his guard and stance just wasnt good, probably nerves- alot of guys get into the ufc and are terrible for the first couple minutes until they find their rythem
but his hands were up, he just wasnt thinking, once again it happens alot when you first get into the ufc for the first two or three fights, the crowds and build-up and the fact its the top organization throw alot of guys off their game at the start
everyone gets caught sometimes, when it happens is just luck unless your one of the best in history, chances are your going to have an embarressing loss or two

If you consider that having your hands up I recommend you not fight MMA either.

how many fights have you been in? lemme guess your undefeated... in UFC undisputed
take some lessons and get in a few fights, he was nervous, his stance wasnt all that bad, his brain just froze up, with this level of striker if you just stand there hands up, even completely perfectly unless your constantly moving and looking for punches to swat/block/ dodge etc. you ll get hit
this isnt a street fight
go learn something besides what you 'learn' from watching a few UFC fights before you speak like that tough guy

he made a mistake (a relatively common one that not everyone pays for like he did), and he paid for it.  don't be too hard him; these things happen.  do you think demian maia should quit mma too for leaving himself wide open while kicking marquardt?

Who are you talking to? Because I stated quite factually that his hands weren't up. Period end of story.  He must come in prepared to fight.  This is not his first MMA match. Brain freezes are what separates the men from the boys.  Don't try to create some persona of me that you pulled randomly from a raffle.  His hands weren't up, he should find a new job.  You should mind your own business. Who said it's a street fight? Who said any of that garble you just accused ,presumably me,  of saying? Pffffft....

clearly im talking to you, and you stated it like it was a fact which is why i know your type, HIS HANDS WERE UP- watch it over again, his left hand was in front of his nose and the other just below the temple, they were extended slightly too wide leaving a small opening
and "brain freezes are what seperates the men from the boys" once again i ask you, how many UFC fights have you been in? this guy MADE it to the UFC that takes incredible skill, these are the best in the world and hes fought in lots of fights against guys who could beat you without the use of their arms and probably without the use of their legs
lots of new UFC fighters get this case of nerves, its a huge deal and huge pump up and the stress is huge, these guys are far from boys
and i should mind my own business?? this is a forum thread! maybe you should look where your posting and just not post your opinion if you dont want to get disagreed/ corrected
i said its not a street fight because you claimed that the only reason he got knocked out is his hands were down, like in a street fight, these fighters are better then that, they can knock you out in perfect stance if you dont move your feet and keep your eyes and mind working at all times
and instead of calling my points "garble" maybe you should attempt some factual backup behind your statements rather then just trying to talk like a tough guy

The fight was only 7 seconds and as you can see on the video timer 00:35 of the first screen shot Hauge was about to take the straight left to the mouth.  Next screen shot video timer 00:36 Hague's ass is on the way to the floor.  Tim Hague is obviously your boyfriend if you can say his hands were by his temple.

And you see the URL of the video. See for yourself. It isn't doctored.

yeah ok your obviously five years old if your gonna come at me with homo insults
picture 1- thinking of  shooting for a takedown and went back instead (punch missed) and then followed up to picture 2 with the jab
picture 2- he shot out with a jab and then go hit because of how duffee put an angle on it and ducked under it
his right hand is still up, look where it is
anymore petty insults or attempts at this?

(Edited by hapkido_warrior)
jab was also thrown in a defensive manner, once again just an example of slight over-commitment and lack of thought that leads to a KO
it happens at this level of the game
and i said his HAND not hands was by his temple, his other by his jaw, look where the jab was thrown from and look where his right hand is

One by your temple and one by your jaw would indeed be "up", and clearly they were not. One was heart level, the other was waist level.  And no this punch did not miss. There is only one second difference on the time frame. This punch connected, and sent Hauge to the mat.  I don't really care what happens in MMA all the time, and whatever he thought he was thinking about doing before he thought about thinking about keeping his hands up. I simply stated his hands were not up. And they were not. Even Joe Rogan had same the very same thing, hands down and chin up. The science of MMA is a discussion you are having alone. His hands were clearly NOT up.

You see Duffee throwing that jab that did knock Hague to the ground? Duffee has his non extended arm up by his jaw.

And finally.... here we go.  No, this punch does not miss. Yes it knocks him down. I don't care if it was a defensive punch, party punch, or hawaiian punch.  My statement never stated any of your bogus claims.

haha, well good job getting the video, but you just backed up my point with it
he went in to shoot, he was in a classic z stance collegiate wrestling 101, hands were down at beginning of the part of the video you showed because he was going to shoot, he reacted to his jab by taking that attempt at that hook comeback, which duffee ducked and then finished him
the point is, he came out with his hands up, shot and got clipped and then over committed to countering that jab with a hook rather then stepping out
if he needs to work on anything, its timing and footwork not keeping his hands up
he timed his takedown badly, and then backed his non fatal mistake up by overcommitting
essentially his mistake is coming in too fast and overly commital- very common mistakes for guys who first get into the ufc espescially against a striker like duffee
and what bogus claims? all i ve claimed is his hands were up when he came out, and they were
i never denied he made a mistake but it was hardly as amateur mistake as just walking out there straight at his opponent hands down and chin out
he came out OK, he just timed his attacks terribly and payed for it

you are correct though that the punch didnt miss, i was under the impression it grazed across the temple when i first watched the fight, and that he stepped back to throw that hook
but the point is that he came out hands up and made the mistake of bad timing for level changes, and his shot was terribly timed and he clearly didnt think he would get hit in the face when he shot which is where his mistake was made
