USC Players Don't Know Who Joe Biden Is
NCAAF

This Video Should Pretty Much Confirm Your Suspicions About Football Players

USC spent yesterday thumping Penn State for its third straight Rose Bowl win. But prior to the game, TMZ did us all a favor by trailing USC's players around one night earlier this week and asking them some questions to help us get closer look at the student athletes who represent the school.

It, uh, didn't go so well.

The main question that was asked of the USC players was who is Joe Biden? As you can probably guess, most of them had absolutely no clue who that was. So much for that "the 2008 election is the most important election of our lifetime" chatter we kept hearing.

Am I surprised by this? No, not in the least. Disappointed? Most definitely. But then again, I like watching the Pac-10 abuse the Big-10 every year, so keep learning good much, USC players.

Sorry, you lost me at the first sign of all those CAPS!

OK----you keep believing that. As a teacher, I would hope education is stressed, but come on-----some just aren't that smart.

By the way, how do you know that Pete doesn't help them find a job and such? You don't, just as I don't know that he does. What I do know is the amount of work Pete does for non profit organizations which help out kids who are sick or who have no positive role models in their life, and how he includes many of his players in on it.

A coach is supposed to stress education to their players.  And Character????  Come on, lets no go there. As far as Ohio State goes I am sure that more than a handful of players know who Joe Biden is.  Especially now that TMZ has brought us this wonderful piece of journalism.  Pete Stresses football, which is fine.  I have no problem with that.  But when these athletes don't make it into the NFL and fall flat on their faces because they have no education maybe Pete will hook them up with a job and a home.

No I think he stresses football and character. He has to work with what he has. Just because these players didn't know who Joe Biden is doesn't mean they are stupid (heads underground for the last 1-2 years, but not stupid.) By the way, ask this same question to other players (say Ohio State) and I am sure you would get similar answers.

Don't hate on Pete! He is a "God" in my part of the country (totally kidding, but he is a God at USC)

"By the way, ask this same question to other players (say Ohio State) and I am sure you would get similar answers."

This is the bottom line. This time, the question was asked of USC players... so it makes them look bad. Think it would be any different at any other big football school? Think again.

I'm glad someone else noticed this to. As a proud Mexican American and a whole lot of other stuff I am happy to see that Sanchez knew his stuff.

I will be honest when I read the article Heading, do you know who Joe Biden is? I had to think about it for a minute, then realized oh thats right he's going to be the V.P.. Trust me im not political in any way but I was alive when the last election took place and at least know who's going to be V.P and Commander in Chief...  Sad, Sad, just plain Sad...

It's been pretty aparent to almost everybody that most football players don't go to college for the education..... why is this so shocking all of the sudden?!?

And he is the first person to ever do that.  No he isn't.  Obviously those shows with people on the street don't mean anything at all.  The general public is asked the same questions and people still fail.  One person was asked if Australia was a continet, they said no.  How stupid is that.  It isn't just football players, it is everyone.

Absolutely I give them a break.  But to not know who is going to be leading your country is just plain, well retarded.  And I don't feel bad for typing any of this.  They probably can't read either.  Don't know who Joe Biden is and one (All-AMerican) didn't know who Obama was.  If thats not an  "ALL-American" I don't know who is.

I think if they had posed the questions in a way they could understand like,"Far West Slot, Red,Joe Biden, Zip Motion 326 Sluggo, Y Stick". Then might have a clue.
